   Thank you for using Yamaha RS7000 Music Production Studio. 
   This Readme explains the content and procedure of updater RS7000 V1.22.


 Operating System v1.22 for RS7000
@@This is the latest operating system available for the RS7000 Music Production Studio.
@@Please review the followings carefully before installing the latest operating system.


 What's new in this Update:
@@ECorrected an error in where it does not reset Return or Pan of 
      Effect(Variation/Chorus/Reverb) even when New Song (or New Style) is selected.
@@ECorrected an error in memory of Filter Distance in Scene Memory
@@ECorrected other minute errors.


 Confirming the version you have:
@@Turn on the power while holding down gRECh and gSTOPh buttons
@@You will see  gCurrent Version  Kernel  :  1.xx
                 @@@@@@@@ @ Firm    :  1.xxh
@@gFirm   :  1.xxh will tell you the version of your RS7000

@@You can leave this "Version confirmation screen" by turning on the power of RS7000 again.


 Tools required for update
@@You will need the following...
@@8MB or larger SmartMedia (3.3V)
@@SmartMedia floppy disk adaptor


 How to update
@ 1. After downloading, copy the file [0532OS_.PGM] to the SmartMedia, which had been formatted using RS7000.  
      Please do not put any other files on this SmartMedia.

@ 2. Turn off the power of RS7000

@ 3. Insert the SmartMedia containing the upgrade program file [0532OS_.PGM] into the slot 
      on the front panel of RS7000.  The correct direction of SmartMedia is printed on the panel.

@ 4. Turn the power on with gRECh button and gSTOPh button pressed and held.

@ 5. When the RS7000 OS updater starts up, press [EDIT/ENTER] after you see a message 
     gInsert card includingc[ENTER] to load.h  This will start the update.

  It will take about five minutes for the updater to finish.  
    Make sure you do not turn off the power of RS7000 while updating.  
    If by any chance an accident should occur during the update process, 
    such as a power failure or a mistake in the update procedure, 
    the unit may not function properly afterwards. 
    Please retry the updater from the beginning if this should be the case.

@ 6. If the program is successfully updated, you will see a message gCompleted. Reboot RS7000.h  
      Turn off the power and remove the SmartMedia from the slot.

@ 7. Turn on the power of RS7000 again while holding gRECh and gSTOPh buttons.
      Please check the version displayed.

@ 8. Turn on the power one more time.
